BEST CONTRIBUTION TO THE POTTER

The Committee decided to give the Award to Lil Bales in recognition of her efforts as Editor for the last 5 years.

ROGER SMITH AWARD

This is for someone who the Committee feel has made a significant contribution to the Club in the previous 12 months. It could be for orienteering performance, or it could be for other services to the Club.

The Committee decided to give the award to Rob Holdway in recognition of becoming M35 British Sprint Champion and M35 Midland Champion in 2021 as well as other good results.

WOODEN SPOON

There were four nominations for the coveted wooden spoon, but the winner by an overwhelming vote was Andrew Rowe. He had offered to help at our first event after lockdown in April but did not turn up having mistakenly thought that the event was on Sunday not Saturday.

The other nominations were:

Denise who at an event managed to lose, not her own compass, but Dale’s thumb compass.

Alex who left his compass behind on the ground part way through an event, having stopped to tie his shoelace and spent 10 minutes looking before eventually finding it again.

Daniel who took an epic 63 mins for one leg at the British Champs at Braunton Burrows.

QUIZ

Many thanks to Rob Holdway for again organising the Quiz. The winners, by a single point, were the POTOC Misfits consisting of three Rowes plus Peter.
