POTOC Captains ReportCaptain’s Report 22nd Jan 2018

We held our annual presentation lunch on Saturday at The Hollybush Inn near Leek.

It was great to see so many faces who all seemed to enjoy the occasion.

Thanks go to Marian Denham for organising the venue, Jim Cooke for presenting the prizes, Lil & Dave Bales for producing an extremely intereseting & varied quiz!

The West Midlands league event on Sunday was at Kinver Edge, put on by Harlequins Orienteering Club.

We only had 1 runner, Rob Holdway, but he represented the club fantastically, winning the Brown course by over 5 minutes.

Lets hope Rob's great form continues for the Compass Sport trophy qualifier in March.

We have been drawn against Wrekin, Walton Chasers, COBOC and ERYRI in the Compass Sport trophy qualifier on 11th March.

Compass Sport Trophy

We will once again be on the quest to reach the Compass Sport final, which this year is in October on Cannock Chase so extra incentive for us to qualify!

We need EVERYONE to take part in the qualifier on Sunday 11th March at Nescliffe, near Shrewsbury.

I will send you further information next month about the entry process.

Also coming around quickly is the JK at Easter, where POTOC are organising the long distance event on Easter Sunday.

If you would like to enter the relays on Easter Monday look out for my email soon.

I look forward to seeing you soon at an event.
