Captain’s Report 16th January 2019
Alsager Event
There was an excellent turnout of 36 competitors at our first event of the year around Alsager town on 12th January.
It was good to see on the results so many newbies and Mark Clews taking home his first club win!
Presentation lunch
Our annual lunch, trophy presentation and quiz takes place this Saturday at the Hollybush Inn at Denford. All attending should have an enjoyable time!
Beaudesert West Midlands league
16 members made the short trip to Beaudesert on Sunday for the 1st WM league event of the year, with a chance to put right any mistakes made at the JK!
Top performer was Ellie Bales, 1st on short green, running a shorter course due to a gentle return after her foot injury a few months ago.
The other highlight was Paul Graetz gaining an excellent 5th on green.
Brown - Martin Pigott (El Capitan) 8th, Andrew Rowe 32nd.
Blue - Henry Morgan 37th, Jim Cooke 46th, new member Mike Derbyshire 56th.
Green - Paul 5th, Dave Bales 35th, Alison Corbett 41st, Lil Bales 44th, Marian Denham 61st.
Short Green - Ellie 1st, Austin Farr 19th, Peter Yoxall 29th, Jean Rostron 33rd, John Pigott 37th, Dora Deaville mispunched.
