Come and join us orienteering at Central Forest Park in our first local event following the Covid-19 lockdown!
Potteries Orienteering Club is pleased to be able to host a local event at Central Forest Park, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
Central Forest Park is a popular location for oreinteering and has also been home to one of our MapRun Challenges. The area is family friendly an lends itself to a good fun and challenging area. This event will comply with all social distancing rules, which means that everyone will need to pre-register in advance using our online booking system. You can then select an start time and we will try our best to allocate you to this. A full list of allocated start times will be published before the event on Wednesday 30th September.
This event will make use of an electronic punch (dibber) and will have flags on each of the controls. If you need to hire a dibber, please indicate this on the electronic registation form. There is a £0.50 charge to hire a dibber. This event is not beginners and no family groups, unless a child with a competent accompanying adult.
- Moderate - 4km
- Short Hard - 5.5km
- Lonng Hard - 7.5km
There will be no easy course, as this is a public park and paths maybe busy, especially near the play areas. There can also be no help with training.

Do not arrive early or stay late and no spectators. The queue for your start time will be 2m distance, taped off and your name and time will be read out. Be careful parking your car.
